DV-9 Overview
The amazing DV-9 teleprompter is the most flexible teleprompter available at an unbeatable price.
They have been specifically designed for the new
breed of professional MiniDV camcorders such as
the Sony PD170, Canon XL1 and Panasonic DVX100. They will work with virtually any 1 or 3 chip MiniDV
camcorder available.
The light weight of the unit allows it to be used with inexpensive light duty tripods. The units set up
quickly with its patent pending mirror assembly with 60/40 beamsplitter glass. Our Ultra-Clear glass is the best glass available for shooting HD and features
a low impurity glass for sharp, distortion free images.
The DV-9 prompters can even be taken off the tripod
and used handheld to give stunning moving shots.
The DV-9 is also light enough to be used on jib arms
for fantastic moving shots. It can also be with a 12V battery for use outside. A car cigarette lighter adapte
is included.
The FREE PC or Mac software accepts any text file
from all popular word processing packages including Microsoft Word. Scrolling can be controlled by the
mouse or the optional wireless controller. The wireless controller allows changing scrolling speeds up to
50 feet away without wires to trip over. We also offer wired scroll controllers and foot pedals for ultimate control over your DV-9.

What you need to start prompting
You will need a PC (XP/Vista) or Mac (G4/Intel)
laptop or desktop with an available 15 pin VGA
or composite video output (a laptop works best).
A tripod with a quick release plate that can support
8-12 pounds and your MiniDV camera.
Usable reading distance: Up to 8 feet

The DV-9/11 comes complete and ready to prompt for most applications. Your requirements may require additional options to improve performance or customize the prompter for various configurations.

The Wireless Remote is our most popular option. A receiver plugs into the USB port on your computer. The intuitive wireless handheld unit controls scroll speed, scroll direction, stop/start and cue points within
a 50 foot range. The talent can use it to practice, or when taping on tighter shots. PC or Intel Mac compatible only. REM-KEY
Our solid aluminum wired controller gives precise rotary control over scroll speed and stop/start. It connects to your computer's USB port. A wired controller is preferred by dedicated prompter operators. Mac or PC compatible. REM-GRF
This heavy duty weighted pedal allows talent to control speed and start/stop the text scroll. The USB interfaced device uses no external electricity so there are no power cords or adapters needed. A sensitivity slider within Flip-Q allows precise control. PC compatible only. REM-FOOT

This 12VDC battery, charger and cable provides up to 2.5 hours run time for our
7.5 and 10.5 inch monitors, enabling shooter to work away from AC power sources. DVBATT
Most modern laptops have an s-video output. The DV-9 accepts a composite
video input via an RCA connector. If your computer has an s-video connector as
many newer models do you will need the
s-video to composite adapter. Comes
with a 25 foot RCA extension cable.
DV11 has a VGA input and does not
need this accessory.
Used with the DV-9, this unit converts the
15 pin VGA output from the computer to a composite/ Svideo signal. It also includes
a VGA pass-thru. This unit requires no external power since it receives its power

If you would like to keep the computer out
of the immediate prompting environment, you will need a composite extension. Our 25-foot composite extension cable is $15. C-RCA25
There are two uses for this device. It can
be used to split the signal between two to four teleprompters from a single PC, or as
a signal amplifier if you need to run 35 feet to 200 feet of composite cable. It has four amplified outputs from one input. Don't forget the extra cable when ordering! DA-VGA
